Specimen: Moonvine (Ipomoea alba). Collected: By Moonlight.
Not at moonlight. Not under moonlight. By moonlight — as if the moon were the tool she used, the way another collector might use tweezers or a lamp. Vivienne's notation system had its own logic. Once you understood it, you understood a great deal about her.
The moonvine was one of the first specimens in her conservatory. This print carries its archive label exactly as it was found: aged stock, handwritten notation, brass clip, the particular attention she gave to everything she found worth keeping. The kind of detail that rewards looking closely.
