The folk tradition of the California coast is built from a long accumulation — fishing village signage, botanical label design, tidal almanac illustration, the visual language of places that developed their own aesthetic because they were far enough from everywhere else to have to. Pacific Folk gathers that tradition into a single surface: the fishing village and the botanical plate and the harbor chart, coexisting in one design the way they coexist in the actual place.
