Cider + Cedar
Portrait & World Prints · Vermont Landscapes · Autumn Botanicals
Beatrice Holloway Finch wanders the New England woods looking for a husband who was lost in the war. No one has ever met him.
She makes excellent apple jam. She plays the violin — there is less agreement on that part. She was already at the Whitmore House when the first guests arrived; no one saw her come in. Nobody mentions it.
Cider + Cedar is Paperfinch's Vermont collection: eerie domesticity in cedar green, orchard red, amber, and cream. Cold orchards. Candlelit windows. The particular stillness of a Vermont October that feels less like a season and more like a presence. Art prints, tea towels, coasters, ornaments, and pillows — each piece carrying the language of Bea's world, from the handwritten jam label that never quite explains its date to the golden hollow where the violin music seems to be coming from. The autumn is beautiful. The house smells right. Something is not quite explained, and nobody is going to explain it.
