Hi there Wanderer!

It's time to go on another Micro Travel Blog adventure and we are so excited to have you following along!

Here's how it works: we believe that life is nothing without adventure, so we have been exploring the world through amazing travel photography (courtesy of a few wonderful friends). And because we want YOU to get out there and explore more, we are pulling together some fun travel tips for each location so that you can start planning your next trip!

HERE WE GO!

It's time to introduce you to the city I used to call home - #Atlanta! The stunning image that was our travel inspiration was taken by the incredibly talented @caseygreenphotography who just so happens to be a personal friend and a true peach (sorry, I had to!)

The perfect mix of southern charm and bustling city, Atlanta is one of those rare gems that you have to visit to appreciate. ⠀

First up, some true Atlanta destinations...and yes, it's okay to be touristy from time to time. Be sure and visit The Varsity, an Atlanta landmark that serves the greasiest, yummiest burgers, hotdogs, and fries. When they yell "What'll ya have", just be ready with the answer "A heavy weight with strings". Just trust me. ⠀

Then head on over to the Aquarium and Centennial Park area. The Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. Also, there are otters. Enough said. While you're in the area, stroll through Centennial Olympic Park and check out all the engraved bricks that were installed during the 1996 Summer Games. There might just be a brick that I bought for my grandparents back in the day!

One of the newest must-see sites in Atlanta would be Ponce City Market. This brand spanking new mixed-use development in the heart of the city is an awesome blend of cozy coffee shops like Dancing Goats Coffee Bar, delicious restaurants like Farm to Ladle, and trendy shops like Citizen Supply. ⠀

Folks, this is getting lengthy. I could go on and on about Atlanta for days. And days. And days. ⠀

We'll revisit my hometown in a future post and I'll share some lesser-known secret spots, for those of you who like to see the road less traveled. Stay tuned!⠀

In the meantime, I know there are lots of Atlanta peeps on here - what's your must see site in the #ATL? Tell us below! ⠀
